The nation's first federal war-housing project, Hilton Village in Newport News is a planned community that was sponsored by the US Shipping Board and the Newport News Shipyard and sold to private homeowners after WWI. The Hilton Fall Festival, 4th of July Parade and the weekly Farmer's Market are just a few of the things make Hilton Village a great community.
