Do You Have Too Much Stuff?

Posted by Lynnette Tully on Wed, Nov 30, 2016 @ 02:47 PM

pink.jpgWe would LOVE to help you simplify your home…AND benefit the Williamsburg Symphony at the same time!

Our first ever Pink Elephant Upscale Sale was a huge success earlier this year in March, raising over $2800 to benefit the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra League.  It was so successful in fact, that we are planning ahead to make our next sale even Bigger and Better!

We have our next sale scheduled for December 10th from 10-2 at 5309 Hillside Way in Williamsburg’s Lake Powell Point neighborhood, so we are in full gear collecting gently used items to insure that we have lots of great stuff to sell.

Volunteers will be standing by at 5309 Hillside Way on Friday, December 2nd and Saturday, December 3rd from 1-4pm to collect your items.  We are happy to arrange pick up for generous donations of furniture or larger items.   We will provide receipts for tax deductions.  Our best sellers were definitely furniture of all sorts, lamps, jewelry, art and kitchen items.

Please help us get the word out...if you or your friends or family are downsizing or moving, (or, just need to de-clutter!!), contact thepinkelephant@lizmoore.com to coordinate a pick-up or delivery.

Please take a walk through your home and see if you have any gently used treasures that it's time to part with...for a wonderful cause of supporting Williamsburg's Own Symphony!

Help Us Support the Hampton Christmas Store

Posted by Lynnette Tully on Tue, Nov 22, 2016 @ 02:01 PM

Hampton Store.jpgLiz Moore & Associates is helping to give back to the parents and children of the community this year by sponsoring the The Hampton Christmas Store. Hampton Pastor, "Santa" Steve Edwards, started the store a few years ago to help families in need each Christmas.

Parents can pay $3 per child and pick out $80-$100 worth of gifts from the Hampton Christmas Store. While the parents shop for their children, the children get to shop for their parents, for free.

We’re accepting new, unwrapped toys and new unwrapped adult goods (cosmetics, toiletries, picture frames, scarves, hats, gloves, candles, etc.) from now until Friday, December 15th in our Newport News Office (11801 Canon Blvd.).

Email Peggy Todd at peggytodd@lizmoore.com if you have any questions.

Liz Moore & Associates Richmond Office is Collecting Items for Fox Holiday Socks Benefiting The Salvation Army and Richmond Kids

Posted by Lynnette Tully on Mon, Nov 21, 2016 @ 11:50 AM

Fox Socks.jpgThis holiday season, the Liz Moore & Associates Richmond office is collecting items for Fox Holiday Socks benefiting The Salvation Army and Richmond kids.

Donations can be dropped off at our Richmond office, 11449 Robious Rd, Richmond, VA 23235, by Monday December 5th.

FOX Holiday Socks is the collaborative effort of the existing Salvation Army Christmas Stocking program and FOX Richmond's Public Service effort. Each year The Salvation Army helps underprivileged parents deliver hope to their children during the holiday season.

Through FOX Holiday Socks families in need can choose a stocking carefully filled by a member of the community with items specifically chosen for a child by age and gender. In our community alone, hundreds of children benefit from this program.

Just another reason why we love where we live!

Food Bank Fundraiser Success!

Posted by Lynnette Tully on Thu, Jul 28, 2016 @ 04:06 PM

Our Food Bank Fundraiser and Children's Can Building Competition was a huge success!  The team fromLiz Moore and Associates, along with help from WISC, Ironbound Gym and Kiwanis Club, collected over 1,600 cans of food.  These donations are helping our local food bank prepare for their summer food service program which is designed to fill the nutrition gap and make sure children get the nutritious meals they need while school is out.

We had four teams of kids, and one "dad team" that couldn't resist the fun, build houses with the non-perishable food items that were collected.  The winning house was built by Joseph Carr and Amelia Troup. They were both awarded Fun Passes to Busch Gardens, and all participants received a gift card to Sweet Frog.

Thank you to all who helped make this event not only fun, but successful!  We can't wait to do it again next year.
