The National Association of REALTORS recently released information on green and energy-efficient home features that are popular among recent home buyers. The data comes from their 2014 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers, and the 2015 Home Buyer and Seller Generational Trends report.
Some important environmentally friendly features mentioned in the report include:
- heating and cooling costs - 86%
- energy efficient appliances - 68%
- energy efficient lighting - 66%
- environmentally friendly community features - 47%
- landscaping for energy conservation - 46%
- solar panels on home - 11%
