Liz Moore & Associates is partnering with Artists of Virginia Glass Guild (formerly known as The Peninsula GlassGuild) to display a wide variety of glass art for sale on Friday September 18, from 5-8pm and on Saturday September 19, from 10am-4pm. This event will be taking place at the Liz Moore & Associates office and 
Launchpad 757, in Williamsburg’s New Town. Artists will be present to discuss their talents in blown, torchworked, fused, cast, and engraved glass. Beautiful, well-crafted artwork, includes decorative sculptures, vessels, utensils and jewelry.
Among the participating artists are Neil Duman who will be exhibiting an assortment of blown vases and small sculptures full of movement, Jude Schlotzhauer who will be exhibiting a series of colorful and fun fused glass bird portraits, and Margot Thigpen who will be exhibiting her delicately hand engraved vessels depicting scenes from nature.
In addition, Denise Albrecht will be showing an assortment of "Garlic Plates". The plate is designed with raised glass to rub a fresh garlic clove against the "beads". You then add olive oil, Italian herbs and dip an artisan bread into the mixture.
Heather Hartle will be exhibiting a variety of cameo and intaglio engraved vessels, sculpture and jewelry, and Lisa Mosser, of Mosser Studio (www.mosserbeads.com), will be exhibiting a wide variety of torchworked pieces including utensils, jewelry and sculpture.
“Making torch worked glass beads combines my childhood appreciation for glass miniatures with a lifelong love of marbling, sparkling inclusions, patterns, and color,” says Mosser. “The process of melting, shaping, and decorating glass beads fascinates me. I manipulate the molten glass in a 1500 degree torch flame to create intricate patterns, to explore natural organic forms, or to recreate artistic effects of the Impressionists. My handmade glass bead handles embellish a wide variety of kitchen utensils and serving pieces.”
