Summer has come and gone and that means it is time to get ready for Fall...pumpkins, cider, hayrides, and more!  MyActiveChild.com recently published a list of Fall Festivals taking place in September in Hampton Roads.  So much to do right in our own backyard!

Artisans in the Park (Virginia Beach)
Address: Great Neck Park 2516 Shorehaven Drive Virginia Beach, VA
Date: September 12, 2015 from 10am-5pm, September 13, 2015 from 10am-4pm
Cost: Free
Activity: This weekend of outdoor family fun includes free admission, free parking, live stage entertainment and food concessions.

Date: September 12, 2015 from 10am-4pm
Cost: Free
Activity: Vendors will be selling crafts, bee related items, honey, soap, candles, lip baums, etc. Beekeepers will have lots of information about Honey Bees!
  
Address: TowneBank Fountain Park at Town Point Park on the Downtown Norfolk, VA
Date: September 12, 2015 from 12-4pm
Cost: Free
Activity: This festival incorporates a wide range of entertainment and programs that include storytelling, authentic Asian Ceremonial fashion shows, ribbon and dragon dancing, martial arts demonstrations, children's activities, musical and dance performances, children's lantern parade, and special appearances by the Moon Goddess.
 
Address: Main Street from Finney Avenue to Washington Street, Suffolk, VA
Date: September 12, 2015 from 11am-5pm
Cost: Free
Activity: Walk along enjoying specialty food items from local restaurants all over Suffolk and see all the goods and services the merchandise vendors have to offer. Taste of Suffolk has something for the whole family with our children’s area and live bands.
 
Address: St. George Coptic Orthodox Church, 187 Semple Farm Road, Hampton, VA 23666
Date: September 11 & 12, 2015 from 11am-10pm. September 13, 2015 from 11am-6pm.
Cost: Free
Activity: Visit King Tut's Bazaar and Dress like a Pharaoh, Henna Tattoo, Bounce House, Table Tennis and Face painting. Get your picture taken with the Pharaohs and have your name written in Hieroglyphics. Experience traditional Egyptian food and culture.
 
Address: Town Point Park, Downtown Norfolk VA
Date: September 19, 2015 from 12-10pm
Cost: Free
Activity: ETC festival-goers will enjoy the melodic music of the performers, the bustling brilliance of Buskers sprinkled throughout the park, the fabulous flavors from the Food Truck food court, the interesting ideologies of Independent Authors, ETC, ETC.

Activity: Enjoy true Brazilian heritage, music, food, dancing, art workshops, demonstrations, children's activities and more!

Activity:  2-Mile Dog Walk (shorter walk available), Busch Gardens "Get Wild" show,  Pet and animal-related vendors, Kids area including an inflatable bounce house and crafts, Delicious food vendors, Refreshments
 
Hunt Club Farm Harvest Fair (Virginia Beach) 
Address: Hunt Club Farm, 2388 London Bridge Road, Virginia Beach, VA
Date: Fridays-Sundays September 26-November 1, 2015. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Cost: Admission free, activities $$
Activity: Petting farm, farm tours, pony rides, carnival rides, giant haystack, live entertainment
 
Neptune Festival (Virginia Beach) 
Address: 2nd-36th Streets, Virginia Beach VA
Date: Friday, September 25, 2015 from 12pm-11pm, Saturday, September 26 from 10am-11pm, Sunday, September 27 from 10am-6pm
Cost: Varying costs for individual activities
Activity: Come out for the AMAZING North American Sand Sculpting Championship, Surf Championship, Volleyball competition, an Art & Crafts Show, Neptune’s Grand Parade, as well as music, food, and fireworks. For a full list of events click HERE.
 
Watermen's Museum 2nd Annual Folk Festival (Yorktown)

Date: Saturday & Sunday, September 26 & 27, 2015 from 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Cost: Ticket required
Activity: Enjoy America’s best music genres during this two-day event. Local and regional groups on three stages. Food and beverages available for purchase.
