Have you been dying to take a trip to Colonial Williamsburg before the end of the summer?  For the week of Aug. 8-14, Hampton Roads and Tidewater residents are eligible for a free Colonial Williamsburg single-day ticket, according to a news release from CW.

The offer is available to residents of Williamsburg, Chesapeake, Hampton, New Kent, Newport News, Norfolk, Poquoson, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, Gloucester, Isle of Wight, James City, Surry and York counties.

“This offer is the perfect chance for locals who have been meaning to visit Colonial Williamsburg to seize the opportunity,” Skip Ferebee, executive director of business development for Colonial Williamsburg said in the release. “We are excited to welcome neighbors from all over the region to this special place where the 18th century comes alive, and hope to make them frequent visitors.”

The ticket grants access to more than 40 historic trades shops and sites, guided tours of original 18th-century buildings, and admission to the Foundation’s world-class art museums.

To redeem the offer, guests must fill out a registration form available online at colonialwilliamsburg.com/residents. The completed form and proof of residency must be brought to the Colonial Williamsburg Regional Visitor Center to receive the free Single-day Ticket. Tickets must be redeemed on the day they are issued, only one ticket per guest.
