No matter if you are buying a home with a small bathroom, or selling a home with a small bathroom, the lack of square footage can be challenging.  Houzz.com came up with a list of helpful design tips to make the most out of your small space.  bathroom

1.  Install a corner sink.  Even small sinks can disrupt the traffic flow in a small room.

2.  Use a shower curtain.  This takes up a lot less space than a glass door that moves in and out.

3.  Float the vanity.  Mounting the vanity above the floor helps the bathroom appear bigger.

4.  Round the vanity.  Sharp corners in tight spaces can be quite a hazard.

5.  Extend the counter over the toilet.  The extended counter creates just enough space for a few needed items.

6.  Use a large-scale pattern.  Wide stripes can trick the eye into seeing expanded space.

7.  Expand the mirror.  A larger mirror can allow for two people to use it at once.

8.  Mount the towel bar on a door.  This can save wall space and still let you keep a towel or two handy.

9.  Select a vanity with one shelf.  Great for storing towels and toilet paper.
