One of the largest maritime history museums in the country, the Mariners' Museum is the pride ofMariners Museum Newport News.  In addition to the permanent exhibits with rare figureheads, handcrafted ship models, Civil War ironclad USS Monitor artifacts, paintings, and interactive history exhibits, a day wandering through the magnificent galleries definitely brings bygone eras to life. Visit their research library, discover artifacts from around the world, and discuss the maritime beauty both in the museum…and out! This museum is informative, beautiful, and full of treasures the whole family will appreciate.
