It was a sure sign of Spring this weekend when we drove down Jamestown Road around the College of William and Mary and saw all of the white tents and crowds on Merchant’s Square!

On Saturday mornings from March through October, you’ll find a bounty of fresh vegetables, mechants square farmers market berries and peaches, fresh fish, beautiful flowers and special vendors at Merchant’s Square Farmer’s Market in Williamsburg, depending on the season.  This time of year you’ll find treasures like fresh oysters and pussy willows. Locals love to parade their dogs, and wander and chat.  Often local top chefs offer cooking demonstrations.  The market has been part of our Saturday morning routine for years, and is not only about the goods, but the experience.

Yorktown Market Days (along the riverfront) begins mid-May.
